You realize a rewrite of an existing work is still plagiarism. If you do not have permission from the author, then you are in the wrong, especially if you are taking direct passages and quotes from the original work. I will be informing the original author of this if you do not take the story down.

Also I did try to get in contact with the author but her ff.net account hasn’t been active since 2017 and I couldn’t find any other of her accounts. So, if you can find an active account of hers have her message me

I don’t see anything wrong with what I’m doing. I greatly enjoyed the storyline and the ship. The writing had holes in it and I think I did a good job rewriting it that I wanted to share it. In the description it states it’s a rewrite and who the actual author is. If the author wants me to take it down then I’ll like to hear it from them.
