I am sorry to hear that you have been a bit down. Thought I'd tell you a funny story since you so very kindly called me an amazing writer. About the writing, as I have written, English is not my native language, which clearly shows a lot of times.
I have a male friend I play OW with and I didn't tell him about my fanfic since, you know... it's a bit extreme. I have been asking him about lore stuff though because he knows a lot about it and we've also been joking about different ships because that makes him cringe. One day when I was insisting on Reaper being gay etc he suddenly goes "Behind closed doors - a Chikara OW gay story" or something like that and my heart just stopped. I was like "have he found the story and are now mocking me about it?" So my mood just dropped because the story is very personal to me, I have never written anything and even though I know it's not perfect I don't want to be teased about it. I just went "Why did you say that?" and he was like "What do you mean?" and I went "Why did you say those words? Like why did you name it Behind closed doors?" and he said "I don't know, it's just a generic thing... it felt like something you would come up with, everyone fucking each other behind closed doors... you know."
So I got really pissy that he didn't come clean about finding it and like 2 weeks went by with me in a bit of a bad mood and my mind messing with me if he knew or what the hell that was about. Eventually I had enough and just asked him straight out: "Did you find my fanfiction?" and he goes "What are you talking about?". "My fanfiction, the one that is called Behind closed doors. The EXACT title that you said." and he was like "No! What, you have a fanfiction? I just made that up out of the blue."
