A poet writes her song,
The lyrics to the call
The call that the sea sings.

The Siren upon the rocks,
Sitting upon her throne of stone
Waiting for her victims of choice.

The Mer-girl flits through the waves,
Innocent of the woes of the world
Forever young and in bliss.

The Mer-man dancing in the waters,
Entrancing those who rest their eyes upon him
With his sparkling eyes and silken skin.

The Mer-boy taking all his chances,
Dangerous and curious of the world around
He never stops his mischievous play.

The Selkie swimming with all graces,
Amongst her natural brothers
In the waters close to a pier.

The Lake-Folk never stopping their moon light songs,
Clothed in soft light of the stars
Taken in the fresh water.

The writer takes her quill,
Magic all in her mind
As poetry she paints a world of watery wonder.
