I've already listened to Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the U.S.A" and Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" and I'll likely need to hear them at least 3-4 more times today. If any songs have ever given me "chills", it's those along with our national anthem, of course.
Metal Review: "Elimination" by Overkill.
While the guitar tone is excellent and invokes comparisons to Metallica's landmark "Master of Puppets" album, the almost comedic vocal style fails to match up. Anthrax and Megadeth have been criticized for their early vocals, but Overkill's style is worse. If they had gone for a deeper, harsher tone (more reflective of such styles as Metallica used in the mid to late-1980s), then it probably would have worked out better and made this a true thrash metal masterpiece.
