It’s 4 am. Chapter is already written but I can’t keep my eyes open to revise and post tonight. I will be doing it tomorrow. I apologize immensely for this heavy delay; I have been crawling my way out of exhaustion but I’m always too tired to sit down and focus.

Hello! It’s your favorite writer speaking (jkjkjk) I hate bothering everyone with announcements all the time but I feel like I need to update you.
          
          Chapter 15 is currently sitting at 6k words and I still have to do the last scene, which is sort of long so it may turn up to be a lot longer than anticipated. 
          
          I have been very tired, Winter and the holidays have drained me but I’m working to get back into my routine. I just need to invest in a sunlight lamp to boost my serotonins lol.
          
          Thank you so much for being patient. Just know that no story will be left unfinished, however long it takes me. Hopefully you are here with me until the end.

          This is just an update about the next chapter of “Of Light and Shadows”.
          
          Chapter 13 will be posted most likely this weekend and I’m making it a lengthy one for this delay. 
          
          It’s currently sitting at 6K words and I still have to add some more stuff so there’s that.

          I would’ve never thought so many people could love something I wrote this much.
          When you guys tell me that Everleigh and Sebastian are in your mind often, I literally want to break into tears of joy.

          This message is also a shameless plug about the new story I’m writing! For anyone who doesn’t know, the plot revolves around the ending of HL if Rookwood had reached the repository instead of the MC.
          
          In this AU (heavily inspired by Manacled and The Auction), the MC is giving to Rookwood’s Commander and nephew Sebastian Sallow as a present for his services. 
          If this is something that interests you, there’s already 7 chapters out and more to come! But please, check the tags first.
          This is a Dark AU and what I wanted the Serpent and the Bird to be originally.

          Also, I will announce my next story very soon so be on the lookout. It’s going to be an original work but adapted as a Sebastian Sallow story with some elements from the HP world.
          
          However, this work will be a High Fantasy book with original characters and settings.
          My inspirations are Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black and George R.R Martin, among others.
          
          I’ll be posting as I write because I think outsiders views will give me more perspective and you guys will ask me the questions I’m overlooking. So if you have the time and you are willing, I would love it very much if you add that story to your reading list and comment your thoughts as I post the chapters.

I’ve officially read all your books (The Serpent and The Bird series and The List) and i’m OFFICIALLY a fan of your work! I just love the way you write your characters and how I as a reader could feel what they’re going through. It’s a skill not all writers could achieve.
          
          I quiet literally just finished The List and it was a good fresh of air, not having any Ancient Magic or “intense” conflict (even tho im a huge fan of those). Made me wonder if you have any plans making another similar book for Seb? Not anytime soon surely with the third book upcoming (which i am DYING OF EXCITEMENT FOR)
