I'm really liking your story, and congrats for having the courage to post your life here. I'm just getting into memoir so I get it, I was wondering if you had any advice on how to get more views. I feel like memoir is one of the harder genres to gain interest in and you've done an amazing job. Any pointers ;)
Thanks so much for the advice, I hadn't thought about critics, reviews or thread sharing so that was a big help! Also posting the story in bulk chapters to start off. I just came in to post up the first few chapters and was excited to see your message, let me know if you would be interested in critiquing my story or having yours critiqued in return? I'm really comfortable with all the "Forms of payment" you posted in your message if you are interested, and if not thanks again for the awesome advice, you were actually the only one to reach back out to me out of about ten people I had liked, so I do really appreciate your time :)
@squideenk Hello Love :) I am really glad that ou liked the book. Though it has absolutely nothing to do with my life, ahaha, it's just a reflection of the society's point of view. I just wanted to depict the calibre of the society and I am ecstatic that I delivered somehow :) As per your query, I am not very well qualified to answer but from my experience, i'd say follow the normal flow. Don't try using thesaurus to make your memoir sound super sophisticated, trust me it does no good to your book nor your readers. Keep a simplistic yet elegant approach. Just the right amount of dramatics, cliffhangers and smoothness will build up your audience. Jut don't lose patience. Everyone starts with zero reads. :) Write a handsome amount of chapters first, atleast 5 and then use the club threads to share it. talk to critics to critique your book. Everyone takes a lil payment in the form of a follow or promoting there book or dedicating them a chapter or even read for read is thing here! Just pick what you are willing to do an that will get you exposure. I have been critiquing here since 6 months now and also getting my stories critiqued, it's fun :) Much love xx
