So, I had a question. Why is the devil evil? I mean, he used to be an angel right? So there has to be a logical explanation as to why he’s evil. And is he really evil? I mean, he punishes evil people for a living! I don’t mean to offend anybody, I am just genuinely curious.

@MiaSloth2004 If there is a devil you’re basically saying there is another higher being in the opposite side of the spectrum fighting against the Devil. If we’re going by Christianity, then God is the higher being, and He is inherently good. By the Bible, the Devil used to be an angel called Lucifer. He disobeyed god, so therefore, he is going against a being that is pure and good. That makes him evil and brings sin and bad into the world. I don’t believe the Devil punishes people who do bad; that would be God’s call. However, this response was strictly from a religious point of view and one that believes in a God. Others might say that there is no devil, since they don’t believe in a God. It varies from person to person. If you have anything further to add please reply.
