Hey guys!

I redid my Google Blog, and it’s now under the “Personal Website” section of my Wattpad Profile. I’ll have some posts up soon— the first two will feature the early and then modern works of @HollyShmit.

          	Here’s the link—

          	https://victoriawritesbookreviews.blogspot.com/?m=1

I also have a few of you who I talked to earlier about being on the blog as well. I believe @SeraDrake was one of them, but I can’t remember the other.

If that person would leave me a comment and let me know who they are, that would be great!

The information I’ll need from you is:

          	— Any personal Information that shows your personality and interests that you’re comfortable with sharing, to show people your life outside of writing.

—Title of your book or books if there’s multiple.

          	— The multiple covers you’ve gone through over the years if you have had more than one cover.

          	— Summary of each story

          	— Intended audience (Young or New Adult books only!)

          	— Primary genre & subgenres

          	— Link to read if it’s on here or on a site such as Amazon, Booksie, Draft2Digital or another self publishing service.

          	— The main character names & images.

Then, I’ll read your book, and leave my review.

If a story has some smutty scenes but they’re NOT the primary focus of the story, I’ll read, review, and post it. However, if someone gives me a story that is 100% smut with no other plot line, please understand I will NOT be reviewing it for my blog.

What I’m trying to achieve with this is bring more attention to the underrated stories that actually TELL a good story. I hope you all understand my boundaries.

          	Thank you!

          	~Mia~

Anyway, since you two are currently too busy, I just want you both to share this link so I can build up a list of authors. Anyone who has completed books is welcome, but as long as they’re Young Adult or New Adult fiction.

I just wanted to know if she's alright, If she is, then I'm happy. And please respectfully, do not talk about patience and stuff bcoz I do have enough patience. Not for once did I ask her to update after she took a break. I was just worried about her well being cuz she just disappeared without a single word. That's all. And thanks for letting me know.

MiaWellis

@Dollyyyyyh I COMPLETELY understand that you and a few others are just wanting to know about her well-being. I promise I'm all clear now.

Yes, I was more or less referring to the people who were solely after updates about her stories rather than updates about her.

And don't worry, you're not being too harsh. All is good.

@MiaWellis It's fine as long as you understand, I was also talking on the behalf of the people who just wants to know about Holly. When you tell us to be patient it makes us look like some desperate readers, that's why . But if someone is asking for updates ofc you can tell them to wait. Sorry if I came off too harsh. Have a great day!

@Dollyyyyh, hey, I just wanted to apologize sincerely for being rude to you or to those who just want Holly to be okay. I wasn't trying to be. I'm just trying to help keep Holly's little community informed. She has often asked me in the past to keep her Wattpad people informed if she has to take a break or she's going on a trip and can't update. I know it doesn't excuse my rudeness.

You seem like a nice person so, again, I'm sorry for being rude. You didn't deserve it.

Hey is @HollyShmit replying to you? I'm worried.

MiaWellis

@Dollyyyyyh she’d go full nights without sleep just to write, and sometimes didn’t sleep for days or weeks either because she was working on HTRAB/HTCAB and then TDoaTC. We’ve been pressuring her to take a break and take care of herself but it seems like the majority of her readers on Wattpad that are not in the server just care about her writing skills. They don’t seem to realize that she’s a human being too with needs, feelings, and emotions just like the rest of us, and if she needs a break, then she should be able to take one without people pestering her constantly about updates.

No, she isn’t, but she used to take extremely long breaks like this when she was writing her three Golden Girl series. The reason for this break was because she didn’t win the Wattys with TDoaTC, and plus, as you know, she was working on multiple books without much of a break. But from I heard, she’s doing okay. She’ll come back when she’s ready. Please have patience.

Hi Mia, I know you are very active on wattpad and I wonder if you would be able to support my book, it's called 'a book of broken mind's and I really would like to get some reads. I'm going to do chapter 1 on Sunday XD

MiaWellis

Also, try looking at review shops and various competitions on Wattpad as well. They could really help get your book out there.

Okay, but I’m just going to recommend something…. There’s MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of books on here, so you shouldn’t expect to get a lot of reads after just posting ONE chapter. I’m not trying to be harsh, but rather realistic.

If you want reliable readers, try this approach instead:

Write at least 3-5 chapters, THEN post them at once. After that, have a consistent schedule of 1-3 chapters a week, spaced out.

For example, if you do multiple days, you can post chapters on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, or just two days a week, or like I said, one day a week like the weekend. Remaining consistent is key.

To promote your book after you’ve written some chapters, you should utilize social media like Instagram, X, Facebook (if you have it) and others.

Chances are, you’ll get some readers that way.

I know that a lot of people do R4R but it’s not a good or genuine LONG term strategy, and plus, how many people ACTUALLY go through with it? Not very many. Please understand that I’m just trying to help.

Hey! I’m visiting your profile after becoming familiar with your name after continuously seeing the copious amounts of comments you leave on Holly Shmit’s page :) (I love Blissful Misery, best thing that’s ever happened to me). Anyway, just stopping in to say hi

Oh hi!!! Thanks for the kind message.

Hey guys!

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, and I’m going to put Love in Georgia on hiatus for a while instead of just ghosting everyone with a lack of updates. I know that some of you are (hopefully) still here for me and my book, but I’m just feeling discouraged about it for multiple reasons.

          — lack of readers and an increase in bot account comments

          — lack of motivation & inspiration.

          — not being in a good headspace about it.

          I hope you all understand.

I’m so sorry, guys, really I am.

          Have a great day.

@Olivia_Benedetti I'm going to try to do a different project for a bit and see if that helps with motivation. I'm also going to do some social networking to see if that would help send more of the type of readers I'm looking for in my direction.

@MiaWellis keep trying you don’t need to keep up with other stories. Write for you and you only <3
