How many of you are on Inkitt AND Wattpad?
I was thinking of taking my romance books off of Wattpad and posting them on Inkitt instead. Although, I’d leave my Avengers fanfiction up here at least.
I’d do it because I’d probably have much better luck on Inkitt than I’d have here considering I’ve always wanted to write professionally rather than just for fun. I’m trying to be a serious writer as opposed to one who’s just writing for fun. I hope you all understand my goal, and would be supportive of me.
Anyway, I’ve talked about this before and thought about this before but I haven’t really made the plunge yet. I suppose I should though.

@DannisWrites Inkitt is similar to Wattpad— but an older audience. So, basically dark fantasy romance, fantasy romance, etc and wow, that’s a lot. Anyway, someone told me that if I’m looking to publish, I shouldn’t even consider Inkitt and just go straight to publishing. I literally mentioned to them I don’t have an audience and it’s been hard trying to find contacts and such.
@MiaWellis Glad you are! I'm not on Inkitt but considering it. I'm on Royal Road and here, but RR likes science fiction. What does Inkitt like? It's a bit difficult to straddle more than one platform, but it's worth it for me. I get far more readers on RR than here but people aren't as nice. I just got a half-star review there :( I'm also on Amazon and Draft2Digital. My only 2 reviews on Amazon are on my awful short-shorts, not on my novels. D2D hasn't paid me yet, so I can't say anything about reviews that they don't pay, but I am giving free copies to libraries, and I'm excited about that.

Hello, sorry for the inconvenience. I have been experiencing a small issue regarding the authors I follow. I only follow a few people but I have noticed that sometimes they get unfollowed automatically from my account. I am not sure why this is happening. Has this been happening to you as well? It has already happened to me four times.
@ellalbooks well, they brought back an updated version of their Newsfeed so you can see what your followers are adding to their Reading Lists. It’s much less invasive because it doesn’t show EVERYONE’s activity, what they’re reading/voting/commenting on.
*stories, and have better support sources & social features for new writers who are just starting out.

@KJBeth You're so welcome, and I hope they do too!! Fantasy Romance is one of Wattpad's top genres, so you'll do great! It doesn't matter if it's mythology/royalty/quests, vampires, or werewolves, if it's fantasy AND romance, it'll have an audience!

I've seen you interact with so many new writers' posts on Reddit, giving advice to them and encouraging them. That's so sweet of you, thank you for keeping the old Wattpad spirit alive <3
@Larryismyqueen28 Oh, that is so sweet of you to say-- thank you so much!! I just want to educate newer Wattpad Authors and encourage them not to give up, even if it takes a while to get readers (one of the BEST things is asking real-life friends or family who love what you write to join Wattpad and give you votes & comments.) If you have a few readers who do that, it helps with visibility, and OTHER people who are genuine readers will eventually read, vote, and leave nice & genuine comments on your stories as well. So many people don't always think of that-- they're too obsessed with R4R and V4V (which is just spam voting/vote trading and isn't really legal OR encouraged on Wattpad)
