Standing At St Peters Gates is named so because I grew up in St Peters, Jersey, and I would often have to wait for my Father to collect me at the gates of St Peters school. Its also a metaphor for staring death in the face, which I have done far too Many times, but it is no way a morbid or dark meaning.
The cover artwork is a painting that I bought at an exhibition in Suffolk back in the nineties, which has hung in our bedrooms ever since, wherever we have lived. I'm rather fond of it.
