I came upon the scene of a man, around his late thirty's to early forties, with his throat slit. He had his wrists bound and his ankles bound as well. His wife was next to him on the floor except she didn't look as good. Her mouth was slit wide open. She was about the same age as the man. This was not even the most gruesome scene I'd witnessed in my one year of being a photographer. I take the pictures of the crime scene. T'is an interesting job.... It's funny. I dislike the people that commit the murders, but they help me get paid. Quite an odd thing.
Anyway, this was a case of the same thing happening to many families. One morning they're just tied down on the floor with the man's neck slit and the woman's mouth slit as well. The man dies of the neck injury, of course, while the woman dies of strangulation in most cases. Sometimes the killer or killers hit the head and that causes the death. Either way, the worst one would have to be the third crime scene I took photos of. A man was eaten and his intestines were strewn about. I gagged. How couldn't I? It was my third or fourth time on the job and the other two or three times were just strangulation or things that didn't involve gore. Now that I've been doing it for a while, (if you consider one year a while) it didn't affect me too, too much. Maybe that sounds bad now that I say it. Seeing two dead people in front of me that died before they even wanted to. T'is quite sad, really.
