Greetings,
My name is Michael Phelps . . . NO, I am NOT the young, good looking, Olympic Champion Swimmer with all that GOLD and beautiful women chasing him all around the globe.  I AM, however, the slightly aged, world-traveled, experienced WRITER.  

My first venture into writing started in December of 1988 when I joined ELLIE JANSSEN, first wife of my good friend DAVID JANSSEN.  We Co-authored her memoir, "DAVID JANSSEN-MY FUGITIVE".  For those not familiar with DAVID JANSSEN; he was a Mega-Television anf film star, best known for his starring roie in the ABC-Television, Q-M Productions "THE FUGITIVE", (1963 to 1967), and "HARRY O" (1974-1976).    "DAVID JANSSEN-MY FUGITIVE" was originally published in December of 1994 in Hardcover, with Paperback Editions released in 1995, 1996 and 1997.  The book had combined world-wide sales in excess of 1.2 Million copies.  Based on the success of Ellie's book, after retiring from a prominent Miami (FL) law firm where I was Chief Investigator, I chose to embark on the challenging career of being a WRITER.  I chose to write about subjects I know, detective novels based on true crimes.  My debut novel; "THE EXECUTION OF JUSTICE" is based on the murder of my close friend and one-time mentor, Detective Sergeant Jack R. Ohrberg, Robbery-Homicide Unit of the Indianapiolis Police Department.  He was brutally murdered on December 11, 1980.    

"THE JOCKEY'S JUSTICE" is based on a murder case I worked on for the law firm.   Eight years later, his widow & son-in-law were charged with the crime.  

My memoir of my friendship with the iconic actor, DAVID JANSSEN.  My book, "DAVID JANSSEN-Our Conversations" covers hundreds of conversationas between Dave and me over the last fifteen years of his life.  Dave died on February 13, 1980.  It was a bad year for me, I lost two close friends.
