Michael Powell is a southern California boy born and raised.  The youngest of 8 kids in his family, Michael had a busy upbringing. Growing up in Huntington beach with 2 loving parents, 2 brothers, 5 sisters, a couple of dogs, birds, and fish, alone time was virtually non existent. Michael turned to books as an escape from the hustle and bustle of packing that many people and pets into a relatively small house. He took weekly trips to his favorite place in the world. It's best known as The Huntington Beach Public Library.
 While there, he would spend hours searching the shelves for books to read and would frequently check out the library's maximum limit of 50 books at a time. He read all of them and never received a late fee. Because of these trips to the library, Michael's passion for books has intensified over the years to the point where he decided to write his own books with the hope of sparking passion like his in people across the world. 
Michael currently lives in the great state of Utah and drives Trucks. He spends most of his free time with family, friends, or his English Springer Spaniel named Emma. Michael enjoys swimming, trying new food, and sitting in Dennys for prolonged periods of time.
