@Michael_Afton3601 , Thank you for replying to me honestly. I know you removed the stories because you felt uncomfortable with them, and I truly respect your feelings and decisions.
I just wanted to say that your stories genuinely meant so much to me. I’m autistic, and I become very deeply emotionally attached to certain comfort stories and familiar things, and your books became one of those rare comforts for me during stressful moments in my life. That’s why this affected me so strongly emotionally.
I know rewrites are important to you, and I understand why you want to move forward with your AU, but for me the original versions had a very specific feeling and comfort that’s hard to explain or replace. They really meant a lot to me, and I reread them often because they helped me more than you probably realised.
I’m not trying to pressure you or make you feel guilty at all. I completely understand that you want distance from those stories now, and I respect that. I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way, but I just wanted to express one last thing honestly.
If restoring deleted stories is even possible through Wattpad support or anything similar, even temporarily, I would be incredibly grateful just to have a chance to privately save/download them before they disappear forever again. I’m not asking for them to be public again or for you to reconnect with that version of your AU if it makes you uncomfortable. I think I’m just struggling emotionally with the idea of them being completely gone forever because they genuinely became a huge comfort to me.
Of course, I completely understand if that’s not something you want to do. I just wanted to be honest about how much your writing impacted me and how deeply appreciated those stories were.
