Happy New Year all!

An update with life:
          
          I've had the odd comment on my books checking in on me - firstly, thank you so much for doing so, I am alright and doing well, just both sadly and excitingly busy! ❤️
          
          I know I've not really shared why I've been busy so thought it was about time I let you all know:
          - I have now graduated from uni with a first-class pass (woo hoo!)
          - I do still work part-time
          - but I'm also working on 2 short films to build my portfolio
          - And I'm completing a kid's book collection that I will hopefully be using to reach out to agents with and/or publishers with in Feb 2026!
          
          Many exciting opportunities have arisen over the last two years for me, and as much as I love writing my fanfictions, they are simply taking longer because of my irl priorities at the moment.
          
          I'm not abandoning anything - I've always said that even if it takes me until I'm 30+, I will still finish the books!
          
          But enough about me, for those that still operate on this platform, how are you all doing? Please share any achievements of your own that you have (without breaching your own rules of your anonymity of course!).
          
          And as it's the festive season, hope you all have a Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays if you don't celebrate ❤️

Never thought 2025 would be the year where my childhood would feel complete after Dan and Phil revealed if they were dating the whole time or not...
          
          But it was a wholesome 40-minute video, so any Dan and Phil phans should 100% go watch and support our wonderful British Youtubers ❤️

The Witcher Season 4 trailer has actually just made me so sad.
          
          I will still watch the series for Ciri, Yen and Jaskier but crikey is Hemsworth's Geralt so different. And his "Let's ******* Move!" line was so out-of-character.
          
          And I believe we, as a fanfic-writing community, are allowed to think that as our (sadly unpaid lol) job when writing fanfics is to emulate the characters we hear in books/on screen/in games/on stage, and WE KNOW when dialogue does NOT sound in character.
          
          And who knew that was actually a valid, valuable and actually rather difficult skill 'til now? 
          
          (But that's why we are amazing ❤️)

@Mickey_Fable also, I return to my own thread to say - I think whoever made the trailer particularly played into our doubts.
            
            Honest-to-God, Liam Hemsworth was absolutely fine in the role and with context, the dialogue made more sense than it did in the trailer.
            
            Still sad about Cavill not playing Geralt, but Hemsworth works just as fine.

@Aesthate awh no worries at all lovely! I've felt the sadness of some of my fave authors disappearing too, so don't like to leave anyone hanging! 
            
            Even if it takes me til i'm 30, I will finish these books lol! The storylines shall not be abandoned :)

@Mickey_Fable OMG!!! You are too sweet. Funny thing is I am JUST entering into University lol. Please take your time and update when you wish. I wish you all the best in life with your work!!! I was a lil worried since most of my fav authors have just stopped updating without any notice sooo felt a bit concerned. Thanks for replying tho!!! Sorry if there are any grammatical errors, English is my second language.

@Aesthate hey there! Thank you for asking: I'm alright, just in a constant state of exhaustion! I hope you are doing well!
            
            It scares me that it has been that long since my last update! Time goes way too fast!
            
            I have just finished university and will be graduating soon, however, somehow, this hasn't led to me gaining more time, but actually, I lack it more now that I have more work shifts, and am working on projects to get into the film industry with. 
            
            I'm busier than I would like to be, but the story is planned, so I do hope to finish it one day, the "when" is the only uncertainty I have ❤️
            
            If you are worried about ISWS, don't be! It doesn't end on a cliffhanger that means a sequel is necessary, and it can be read as a full story, separate from the other. 
            
            Thank you for investing your time in ISWS so far, I hope you're enjoying it! Your comments have made me smile and your readership is much appreciated ❤️ :)
