…….. LOADING FILES………
That's what had been on my screen for FIVE WHOLE MINUTES!! It was annoying really but I couldn't just leave. Believe me, if I could've, I would've. Those files were extremely important though and could do great damage if the wrong hands got ahold of it. I wasn't about to let that happen, so, of course, I waited…. and waited…. and waited some more.
I was bored out of my mind, tired of watching the screen for what had seemed like years. It would've been great to get some action but I guess it also would've make my job harder seeing as they could've grabbed the files once- or if- they finished loading. Letting out a sigh, I decided to relax a bit and I sat down in the chair nearby.
My butt must've triggered an alarm or something cause next thing I knew, my chair was tipped backwards and I tumbled from it. Immediately, I scrambled to my feet. The loud, ear-splitting sound of alarms cut through the air and in front of me were a couple of armed men.
Too easy, I thought as I got out my dagger. Two against one. The advantage was on their side and yet, I would come out victor. I glanced back at the screen to see-
FILES LOADED…
For a moment, I forgot the men with guns and dived for the computer to get my USB drive. Immediately, a bullet whizzed past my head, brushing some of my hair aside. I grabbed my USB drive and shoved it in my pocket just as another bullet smashed into the computer, sending sparks flying in every direction.
I ducked under the table quickly to avoid some of the sparks as well as the gunfire. Using my dagger, I cut some wires from an electric circuit nearby and suddenly, the room went dark.
