A very valid point was raised by one of the readers in a Chapter 37 of In His Embrace.
First, I want to clarify that I do not support non-consensual activities in real life. This story explores themes of BDSM, obsession, and psychological complexity. Stories within these genres often depict unhealthy dynamics, flawed characters, and morally questionable actions, which are not meant to be endorsements of such behavior.
After rereading the chapter several times, I also revisited Rooh's character and her emotional journey. It's important to note that Rooh has never experienced a romantic relationship or even a normal close relationship with a man before. Because of this, she does not yet fully understand the emotions and conflicts she is experiencing. Her feelings, reactions, and self-awareness will continue to develop as the story progresses.
At the same time, the fact that Sehun is the male lead does not mean he will be excused for his actions. I have no intention of giving him a free pass for the ways he has mishandled or hurt Rooh. His choices will have consequences, and his character arc will be held accountable within the narrative.
