Can you teach me how to write a good story

For those of you who are reading my Burning Metals book, I’d like to take a bit of a poll. I based that story off of my own oc, and I was thinking about editing the book to make it an oc insert. I’d have to go through and change a few things and put and actual name in, but I want to know if you guys actually want it that way, or just keep it as a Y/n story. 

I think your story is great you made the character overpowered but not to overpowered giving him just enough power to get the job done hope you keep up the good work.

This is pretty dope, but I know you want criticism, and I will try to keep it positive. As a reader I like more descriptive peices. I would suggest explaining the setting more for those who might not know the setting. I don't know how fanfics work very well, but being immersed in the story is growing on me.
