I’m going to have to put “write a short story” on my list of things to remember. It’s been a while since I’ve added one—maybe that’s exactly what I need. I haven’t had writers block, it’s more like the inability to focus on one story. I’ll start working on one and then my brain will jump to a different one. I’ve also been way too preoccupied with work and other life stuff. It’s too bad life can’t be written like a book sometimes.

I’m so excited to share my very first website! While I personally didn’t design it (I hired designer Gabriela Bazan for that) I’m proud of how it turned out.
The site gives a small preview of my book, Shift, which I’m hoping will be published early to late June of this year!
I hope everyone is staying healthy :)

Several weeks ago I removed all my books from the site because I've made so many changes--especially to Shift. While most of the end and middle of Shift stayed the same, the beginning had some parts cut or shortened. One small scene in particular, when the characters are headed for Pandorma, was completely changed and I think it fits much better than the first version.

I'm really excited to start posting chapters from two of my books. One book is the second book in the Shift series, the other book is Shift but from different character perspectives. This other version of Shift helped me realize that I need to see things from everyone's point of view when I write. I have also really enjoyed writing a kind of 'behind the scenes' version of Shift.
With all that said, posting of Shift: The Other Side (a temporary title!), will be slow so as to not reveal things that take place in the second book.
