You ever wish you could have a little privacy these days? So do I. However in this business it seems it’s just not allowed. My name is Michael Melville. 
I’m 35 and following my dreams of being an author and writing stories I love while working full-time, attending college full time and soon raising my son who is now 9 months old.

 When it comes to reading I like many different genres but prefer stories that stick with you…the ones you remember years after reading them and tug at your emotions. I like those stories where I can see a little bit of my life and myself in them. Since these are the kinds of stories I like to read they also happen to be the stories I enjoy writing. I lived in Oregon for several years and continue to draw inspiration from that state and especially the coast which is why I am writing a book series which takes place in that awesome state. All the Roads Home, will be the first “official” book in that series.

In March 2014 I published the final edition of my first novel titled “Running Northwest”. I am currently hard at work writing my second novel called “All the Roads Home” which will be published in 2015. 

I have many many short stories in the works and this will be the place where I will share some of them for others to enjoy. In 2015 I will hopefully be releasing my long awaited book of short stories which was inspired by my dog, Harley, and all of man’s best friend’s. Some stories from that work will also be shared here prior to the book coming out.  Currently I reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
