I am a writer, scriptwriter, poet, wife, mother, and unschooler. My books are a unique mix of the influences of my childhood: spooky old southern houses, dark, secretive woods, science fiction and horror movies, Warner Brothers romances with feisty stars like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford and the tragic heroines in Gothic novels as well as those I knew in real life. In my dreams, I quite often escape into other times and worlds, and my stories reflect that. I love anime, and I get a kick out of trying to emulate those kinds of stories as well. I want them to be fun and interesting, and thought-provoking. There is an inherent magic in asking “What if?” that I find irresistible. I hope you will, too.
