Guys, I feel like it's become more apparent that the fan fiction I've mentioned is being written by ai. Just yesterday (which is roughly 5 days since the author updated the story of an additional 9 chapters) they uploaded 6 more chapters, and TODAY they uploaded ANOTHER 9 CHAPTERS!! Theres no way one could upload this much, with a medium-sized length of chapters and have it worked all on their own right??? Is this just a case of having back up chapters in hand and that one extra day was all they needed (in between uploading those 6 chapters yesterday) to refine some errors and upload another 9???

Guys, I need help trying to identify if a fan fiction I'm reading has AI involved in the making. It's on Quotev. It's called, "kidnapped by history" by Arios and it's a y/n insert into the One piece anime. At first everything seemed normal when I was reading and at the time, I didn't think this method could be AI, but they would use a TON of those, "it's not x, it's y" something I'm sure everyone knows is something AI loves using. I just watched a video by 'evan' who made a video months back on how to identify AI writing and this fan fiction hit every mark on what he said. I could explain here but then it'll be a long paragraph, so you're also not sure, plz check out his video for guidance. I don't want to assume and ik some of these methods, real people use them as well, but I couldn't shake this feeling. Especially recently where the author uploaded 6 chapters all at once with a medium sized length to most of the chapters. The only thing I recall that it might not be AI is I remember seeing an error to a characters name and the formatting looks human enough but they could've edited it a bit

@Evaisevaa Fr, and don't get me started on how normal it's becoming to use ChatGPT. I can't even convey the bad effects it has to my mom who uses it without sounding like people who complain about everything 'giving you cancer.' It's being integrated into EVERYTHING! My step-mom even went to a CLASS TO TEACH ON HOW TO USE CHATGPT!!! Are we fr right now?!?! We're so going to be the old people who complain about the 'new technology'

@MilkyDWriter exactly, I totallyyyy agree with you about the ai stories and drawing, these days most of the fan fics cover pages are ai, the story is ai. Ai is literally SOO bad because it takes away all the efforts done by REAL people. Like just typing something and asking AI to finish the rest of it is totally not it. People have been writing for so long and tbh? Original written books are always good. Because Ai can overexaggerate the whole thing but still can't bring the originality of real writers. Like this ai thing happened to me again, I was reading a good fanfic and boom the author used AI slop writing in one of their chapters and
            an AI cover for the book, they don't even realize the harm AI does to our environment and how MUCH water is wasted just for a paragraph of slop writing!

@MilkyDWriter I'm so glad someone felt that way about that fan fiction as well. I dropped it ever since because I'm fairly certain it is ai and j don't want to support it at all. Writing is an art form, you can't just take short cuts and take credit for the little you effort you put in. And don't get me started on another fic awhile back I read (but dropped cause I got bored) where the person 'claimed' the art in their book was their own doing but it was clearly ai. If you look further down in my message board, you'll see a convo between a person who messaged me on that book saying "it's ai" and it was ALSO A OP FANFIC! ARGHHH! Side note: well I don't think this fanfic I read was ai, but I came across a Loki/reader fic where the author described every minute detail and they were still on the same scene for 6 chapters! I skipped further ahead to see how far they got in the story, and THEY'RE STILL IN THE SAME BUILDING  Like describe in great detail for readers to feel immersed but don't take 6 chapters just for us to leave the room

Oh my days. I had to re-log my account and Wattpad was being such a brat! Honestly, you'd think a simple click with my registered email will do it but they didn't accept my password so I asked to change it but they were taking 4ever for the confirmation email. I clicked on another saved username only to see I made a whole new one. I got so scared I lost my progress

@ankylover Hey! Ngl, when looking at her art for the first time, it felt too good? Y'know, but I don't think at the time of writing the comment, I thought ai could make such art. So when you mentioned inconsistency, I went and checked and on the chapter "separation" the girl character has 5 fingers on the top of the palm. Argh, man. The only thing I picked up on was the cover art, cause luffy's scar is on the wrong side, but I mean, anyone could make that mistake, but not the finger thing. That's sad honestly. Tbh, I thought you were a hater at first, cause all your comments were just saying it's ai lol but I understand how frustrating it might've been to see someone getting away with ai
