Hi everyone,
I am a total newbie here and just dipping my toes in, to see if the waters right for me ;)
I am a single mum of 2 wonderful, loving, self sufficient adult men, with a daughter-in-law to die for, and two of the smartest grandkids in this universe ;)
I love music of all types, and being in nature. I also dabble in photography, though still at an amateur level...totally self teaching myself, so those photos I use for my covers or that I post are those I've taken :)
All my life, I've loved to write, and I dabble in everything from poetry and short stories, to research papers and essays.
Right now, I am also - whilst going through therapy - attempting to put together my Autobiography. Yes, I know....mad to go for the 'Big One' when I've not had anything published or been in the public eye. However, my life...has been ...interesting.
I DO have some short stories, but they are all only a couple of A4 pages each, not even long enough to be a novella. Hmmmm, maybe I should gather them into a 'Collection Of'....we will see.
For a while I'll just be reading and learning, and posting some of my poetry every once in a while, so you don't get fed up of me hah....BUT I have a question regarding that.
You see, I have two folders on my laptop for Poetry....one for my happier, and optimistic side...... the other, for my down times, when all is bleak and woe.
So here is the query. I know what 'I' prefer, but a good author does what her/his readers would like best.
IF I were to ever become officially published, as a poetry reader of my work, how would YOU like my work to be presented? Into a mix of both sides in the one book, OR a definitive separation of happy poems and sad poems?
Keep reading and writing those waves! See you out there!
