Hey Mio! Saw your ask for book recommendations and I think I’ve got one for you. the Licanius Trilogy by James Islington! This is a huge emotional journey intermixed with politics between an oppressor turned oppressed class, crazy power systems, personal sacrifice, interpersonal struggles, prophecy, and a huge religious conflict between a group of immortals who have been following “god’s” will for hundreds of years. One of the tightest plots I’ve ever read, everything clicks and no plot point is unaddressed to my memory but there are lessons to be learned where the book slightly fails is tone and prose! I think it’s exactly what you’re looking for!
