          I will actually be performing this poem on Monday!
          A bit of Context: My name is Miraya - which originates from the name 'Meera'. 
          Meera was a girl who was very devoted to one of the gods in Hindu mythology called Krishna. She would write songs for him, dance for him, sing for him. She was in love with him. Therefore, my name literally means 'devotee of Krishna'. Now, There is a festival called Janmashtami that happens on the eighth day (Ashtami). I, unfortunately, have missed it...quite a few times. And, this poem is ,in a way, me reminding myself not to miss the date this year. 
          I really hope you guys like it! 
          Also, I got nearly all my test results back!! I haven't done too bad so it's all good! I'm now waiting for my English results! Wish me luck!

          I am BACK and ready to ACE poetry!
          I will upload as many poems as I can.
          Let me know what are your thoughts on me potentially publishing my poems in an actual poem book...should I do it? Are they (the poems) good enough? 
          Thank you guys so much for being so patient! I know I haven't been very active due to exams but now I am BACK!! 
          Btw, I am on a HUGEE reading slump so do u guys have any book recs for me? I really like murder mystery. My most fav book is probs Powerless (to those who haven't read it: READ IT), I am currently reading 'The Ode Less Travelled' by Stephen Fry. It talks all about poetry and broadens your perspective on the different techniques that you can use to write a really good poem. I would really recommend it if u read a lot of poetry, because it is so much more fun to read poems after understanding the techniques so that you can make sense of famous poems (lets be honest, it sometimes feels like Carol Ann Duffy and Shakespeare are writing in a COMPLETELY different language). 
          Now that all that is out of the way,

          I have exams coming up so unfortunately I won't be able to write many poems but I will try my best to continue uploading some.
          Also, I am considering writing a poem book and actually publishing it soooooo
