Wow, it's been a while. I hope everyone is doing well. I know I haven't used this account in a while, and I said I was going to focus on getting published, but things have changed.
The publishing world is a bit more complex and multi-layered than I initially thought, and no one is going to fault me for getting my start on websites like this one. In fact, a lot of writers get "discovered" online. And since I've changed my plans, it makes sense for me to post stuff on here for the sake of getting feedback and critiques.
I've recently changed my major from Creative Writing to History. This was not a decision I made lightly; I took a lot of writing classes over the last two years, and was deeply disappointed in what I saw. It wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. Since I'm now on track to getting a degree in History, my writing projects have expanded in scale and scope. I no longer believe I can accomplish what I want in as short of a time as I thought I could.
But that's where the fun part comes in (for you as a reader, at least). I'm planning to start posting again, beginning with a story called "Borrowed Time". Most of the manuscript for that one is already written, but needs extensive editing. Additionally, I plan to post the novel I was always talking about but never really showed anyone, "Dreamwalker", which is technically finished but needs to be cleaned up. Both these stories are part of a fantasy series set in a world of my own making.
This is the biggest project I have ever undertaken, and it will likely take most of my life to complete. So if you do choose to read it, either for your own enjoyment or for the purpose of critiquing it, keep in mind that it is unfinished. Chapters will be subject to edits, details will be changed, and I'll wind up taking these stories down for a complete rewrite pretty frequently. But I'm still going to post my writing because I now realize that writing is a group effort, not just a lone hack with a laptop.

Hey, Miri! I wanted to ask if you could read my new Creepypasta story that I'm writing. I'll publish the first two parts so you could read them and give me feed back on what to fix. If you could do that, I would love it! Thanks!

I'm in Best Buy, using the computer there since there's no Internet at my grandparents' house. I should have Internet by tomorrow afternoon though. Not that you noticed I was gone, lol. But I may post something soon.
