Why are Jesus’ parables important?
          During His ministry on earth, Jesus often used stories to illustrate an important lesson or idea. And, these parables can continue to teach us something today.

Yeshayah (Isaiah) 61:3 TS2009
          To appoint unto those who mourn in Tsiyon: to give them embellishment for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. And they shall be called trees of righteousness, a planting of יהוה, to be adorned.

Our peace should always come from our Father...things do not make us happy. They rot and decay, and eventually don't work anymore. 
          
          Peace comes from within, knowing your soul is saturated with Him.

Exodus 17:14, Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered…” Just as writing a “to-do list” helps us remember what's important, God tells us multiple times in Scripture to, “Write it down.”

Deuteronomy 17:18-20 a king is commanded to write his own copy of God's Word so "that he may learn to fear the Lord his God." When we write something down, we are more likely to remember it and it even boosts our memory. God encourages people throughout the Bible to write, because when we write, we remember.
