          it saddens me to have to write this message. however, it's been brought to my attention that an eleven-year-old girl who wrote on wattpad, named Anahlia, was recently shot and killed by her own grandfather.
          
          she'd been documenting the alleged abuse (sexual abuse, more specifically) that her grandfather had been committing against her for quite some time, on this, our very own writing website! and it was this that brought death upon her and her own mother. 
          
          let this serve as a TRAGIC reminder that sexual abuse will NEVER be romantic, relatable, or quirky.  don't make jokes about it, don't write about it as though it's beautiful, and PLEASE, IF YOU EVER EXPERIENCE SEXUAL ABUSE OF ANY DEGREE, TELL SOMEONE!
          
          i think this site needs to implement new policies about rape in fiction or just rape in books in general. we need to be sensitive to what people on here document and how they do so and  ––– this should never have happened and it's really disgusting and makes me feel sick and i know you guys probably hate reading this stuff because it's morbid and dark but i don't care bc it's real and happening and it's so fucking wrong.
