My steps came to an abrupt halt at the sound of those words, and I turned my head to glare at him, seething with anger. I didn't speak; I didn't say anything. All I wanted was to hit him and never see him again.
"See how easily I can make you give in? I know exactly how to push your buttons, baby" he smirked slyly.
"What do you want? Isn't your problem with me? Stop bothering people who've done nothing to you. Take it out on me if you want, but don't you dare mess with him again!" I snapped, and his expression turned serious.
"I told you. I don't like seeing you talk—"
"So, if I stop talking to him, you'll leave him alone?" I interrupted with confidence, and he let out a mocking laugh.
"As if you'd actually do that"
"I already have" I replied immediately. He studied my face, my eyes, trying to figure out if I was telling the truth.
"Fine, baby. But if I catch you two talking again, be prepared for what'll happen to him"
