hiya, this is linkin / princess’ friend, milks ( @mlkykoi ) ! i’ve been logged into her account for a while as we have been collaborating on quite a few fanfictions and i, to be honest, have been too damn lazy to log out and log back into my own account, thus giving me no option but to put up with her notifs of liked stories, comments, pm’s, and follows.
          
          now, i’m not saying that i’ve read like, every conversation that she’s had with you guys (because that’s basically illegal and an invasion of privacy) however i have received messages (obviously intended for her) of concern for her well being, feelings, etc. and i just want to say one thing—
          
          thank you. 
          
          thank you so, so much for putting time and effort out of your day just to ask how she’s doing, how life has been treating her.
          
          thank you for asking how her day has turned out, how she is feeling rather than when she will next update her hottest fanfic.
          
          you guys have been amazing, and i am grateful for that. sometimes you guys, random ass people on the internet, can be better friends than i, and i love you all for that. you guys have been doing the work that i should have been doing and have become role models for me.

I'm thinking about writing an email to Wattpad about this whole ad thing. I understand why they have ads now, unlike when I first found them 4 or 5 years ago, but it's really pissing me off. I was checking one of my stories for spelling errors in the "view as reader" mode and I got ads. It's MY story. My property. They shouldn't have any right to put ads on my stories without at the very least giving me some ad revenue. And that goes out to all active authors on here. If not ad revenue, we should have the option to not have ads on our stories. They do not own them. We do. 
          
          So what so you guys think? Should I email them or am I overreacting?
