One of my favourite authors Florence Given recently said “Embarrassment is the price you pay to become absolutely brilliant at something.”

So…anyone want to critique my novel and make me cringe? HA! I’m ready! I know it’s super cringy but we’ve all been there and this is Wattpad where mistakes can happen and are a good thing. Let me know what you think and I’ll do the same for you <3 <3 <3

"Woohoo, ready to take your clothes off ladies?" He looks darkly at me, a huge smile on his beautiful lips, his eyes boring into my soul.

"Are you ready Lula?" I look at her with a shy as heck expression on my face.

We find the store and I immediately I worry about my tummy, it's not like the skinny girls at school and I have been shamed for years by my stepmom. When was the last time I ate? Oh yeah, this morning.

"Hell yeah!" She says as she looks at the stunning suits in various colours and prints, she flips through them with speed until she grabs two, grabs my hand and leads me into the changing rooms.

Axel moseys through the aisles, keeping an eye on me like a hunter stalking his prey in a field of bikinis.

"Girl he LIKES you! A LOT!" She blurts out as soon as she pulls closed the curtain.

"What? No he doesn't." The thought makes me want to crawl into a small hole in the ground and dig my way to China.

"He doesn't even know me! How could he like me?"

"He wants to take you for a ride on his bone, BOAT, I meant boat." She says and I scoff.

"But I'm sure when he gets to know you, he'll like you even more. Cos you're the sweetest." She says, booping me on the nose.

"So put this on and don't make it hard for him - that's what she said - to get to know you. Show off your body! It's not summer for long. So make the most of it." She hands me a vintage black two piece, with a retro halter and ruched high waist.

"It makes my boobs look good." I admit. They've never looked this squished up and together.

"Dayum!" She says as her jaw drops. I do a little twirl and she is mesmerised.

"I think I might be gay now." She tells me just to boost my ego a little more.

As we come out of the changing rooms, Axel is leaning up against the doorway, his smouldering eyes locked on mine.

Did he hear everything we just said?

New chapter is up!

Excerpt: Inside the cabin, the dark, polished, creaky wooden floorboards run throughout the house, and the two main areas, the lounge and the dining area in front of us have two huge white reindeer hide rugs.

The walls are built thick with beautifully crafted shelving showcasing a few household items, crockery and cookware, plates, and eating utensils. A washboard cupboard on the far end is topped with vases and a lit candle labra, adding a soft warm glow to everything.

To the right is a comfortable lounge with two large couches perpindicular to the large fireplace. Plush sheepskins are laid over the couches. Through the windows the frozen trees blow in the cold wind.

Over to the left is a kitchen, perfectly crafted with wooden rafters to hang pots and pans, and baskets of wild herbs and hand harvested plants. A copper pot sits atop a wood burning oven, like someone was getting ready to make tea. Three tea cups sit atop the kitchen table.

"Is anybody home?" I call out gently. "Hello?"

They thought she was a nobody. Invisible. Ignored. Unwanted. But they never knew who she really was....

          Excerpt:

The snow starts coming down a little more and the wind whispers through the branches of the trees, some evergreens are showing through the layer of snow. The ice crunches crisply beneath our feet. The sunset is a burning cinder red, flooding through the trees and washing the snow with a gleam making it look like fiery diamonds.

The air is cold in my lungs and my breath smokes as I exhale.

I can't believe a moment ago we were walking around Oslo in mid summer and now we're traversing this winter wonderland.

I was inspired me to write a female led version of Ragnarok, starring Freya, the most well known goddess of all time. And, I've always wanted to write an epic fantasy. I grew up watching Star Wars, and reading classic fantasy fiction epics like Dune and Ursula Le Guin's Earth Sea Trilogy.

I was immediately fascinated when I started reading about Freya, and I asked myself; Isn't this every woman's story?

I set about piecing together the story from different parts of the web. It all seems quite fragmented, but there are common themes across all sources. Love, power, war, trauma, sadness, loneliness, fertility, sex, death, empathy, beauty, struggle, turmoil and triumph.

Loki, the trickster god, spread rumours and gossip about her, painting her as a kind of immoral woman who found herself in the beds of various men. But gossip can't get her down...

She has a kickass chariot drawn by two huge black cats, a magical necklace, a legendary sword and a magical cloak of falcon feathers. She was also burned alive three times, and each time rose from the ashes.

I wanted to bring forth the controversy surrounding her, and define her not as how she is described as an object, but as a person, since this is the core of what we can relate it to the life of a modern woman. Her story comes across in many themes, and in many cultures all over the world including stories of witches and fairies and oracles.

How strange that the most well known goddess of all time doesn't have her own book?

Please vote for each chapter if you like it, I would love to read your comments and know what you think. I'm constantly editing as I grow as a writer. I want to give you the best book EVER. EVER EVER.

Freya is about a girl who finds her heart, and in doing so finds the strength to accomplish all things. Freya is a girl who makes the world adapt to HER, not the other way around. Her indomitable spirit is her power.

Welcome to the Freya Universe on Wattpad!

MissPinkSherbert

Hey guys! So I've been updating Freya daily, and finding the process fascinating. Some of the scenes are going back into my past and it's actually quite therapeutic. Does anyone else find writing a huge weight off their shoulders? It's kind of like when you can see what happened in your own life and relate it to the character, you can make sense of it and feel less alone. Does anyone feel like thank goodness for Wattpad?

Have a wonderful day everyone <3
