Today I went to the park after school and I went on the swing as I always do. It's my favourite play ground equipment. I just wanted to share this with you even if it might not be the best reflection on things but everything ends out well! I may ad it to a coming chap..
Just as usual I looked up at the sky and trees. It's the beginning of autumn where I am so there's a faint speckle of gold and red leaves between the hues of green. And as I admired the mass of foliage and strong arching branches I noticed the slightest variation in light that was breaking through on a single broken branch. Suddenly I couldn't stop staring, it became intriguing and, different. I couldn't look away from the magnificence before me. I continued to swing putting more and more effort into each swing, getting higher and higher until I'd reached the extent of the pendulum's capabilities. I was so close to the tree that if I'd let go I was sure I could touch it. And each time I ascended seemingly into the sky the urge to jump grew stronger. The thought that if I jumped out towards the foliage and the cloud kissed sky I would fly. I could fly, free go anywhere see the beauty of the world from a new perspective. But what was stopping me from seeing the world from a different perspective with my feet on the earth?
I stopped reaching out to the height and the broken branch and slowed the swing. The metal bars began to creak every time I ran passed a certain point in the swinging motion. It became an annoyance that I didn't look forward to as it etched away at me with every occurrence. Determined to try and stop it I began to once again put effort into my swings and realised that I controlled the frequency of the creaks. The harder I tried, the higher I swung the less it happened until it turned into a faint memory as I focused back on the trees and sky. I had put in the effort and stop thinking about it and the irritating pain the sound brought went away. I myself could control it happening.
