MisterBadgerAnarchy

It's once again Sunday, which means it's time for another chapter of "Wildheart"!

From Vydahr's perspective, we see a bit of a reality check for Kahryta, and later the two *finally* make it back to Valome (where Vy is notably less at home)

“Entering a new place for the first time or entering an old place with a new perspective can leave even the most confident person reeling, but a welcoming embrace and a warm smile are cure-alls for that ill.” - Chapter XV Epigraph

Chapter XIV: Unexpected Guests is up!

“Roles in life are an interesting thing. When a child is with their parents, for example, no matter how old they are, they act like a child – unsure and seeking help and comfort from their parents. Yet that same person, in their comfort zone, their element, becomes the epitome of self-assuredness.”

Time for a new installment of Wildheart!

          Chapter XII: Youthful Ambition
In this case, it's a bit of a quieter chapter, but it's from Nahkyr's perspective (which is always fun.) Avindyr gets up to some scheming and narrative threads start to come together...

I know, I know; we haven't check in on Vydahr in a hot minute. But worry not! Next week we'll get to see how he's handled being more wolfish than usual (and even more threads intertwine)

It's once again, somehow, Sunday. Which means a new chapter (Chapter XI: The Rising Star,) and this one is a favorite of mine, because we finally get introduced to the inimitable Kahryta Rayne! (Literally. She does some magic stuff that you can't physically do)

Once again, it's Sunday! We have Chapter X: Valome up now, from the POV of everyone's favorite father - Avindyr! Find out how grumpy an academic can get with bureaucratic red tape in a fantastical tree city

Additionally, there is a new summary up for Wildheart:

          "What if Destiny requires Consent?

"When Sky and Earth embrace, so shall be born the final God of the Untamed Wilds, he who is marked by Balance, and who shall overthrow the Nephilim of Va Allae even while crushing the Faeries of Haedel underfoot." - Prophecy of the Wild God

Vydahr is a young Angel - a vampiric race of powerful magical beings that live for centuries - who lives with his family in the south-western corner of Noase in a place called the Vale. A place of megafauna and lingering Faerie magic, the Vale is vast and unforgiving to those unprepared for its challenges. Yet young Vydahr - not quite yet 18 at the beginning of this tale - moves through the misty groves and waving meadows as rhythmically as the seasons.

In tune with himself and the natural world as he is, Vydahr does not rely on his skills and strength alone. He was raised by a great healer of sternly compassionate demeanor; a soft spoken, fox-clever tinkerer; and a distant warrior-scholar with the curiosity and capacity for mischief of a magpie. With the support of his aunt, uncle, and father as well as a cousin that always seems to find a way to convince Vydahr to participate in varied magical and mundane experiments, the young Angel will go on a journey to discover himself and his place in the world.

Will Vydahr's Journey be one of destruction? Of creation? Or perhaps a third path will be revealed along the way..."
