-Authors that research what they write about
-Mystery
-Mystery with a clever and believable solution
-Subplots
-NOT love-at-first-sight/instalove/love-because-we're-the-two-main-characters
-NOT perfect cutesy relationships
-Antagonists with really good motives that make you question who the good guy really is
-Magic
-Not clichés
-Breaking the mold
-Begonifying thots

That really turned into a description of things I like in stories lol. I guess those are technically still interests though.
