So for this site I'm totally ancient. I have three little children, twin girls born in 2008 and a boy born in 2010. I work, can barely remember highschool..... and I like to read werewolf stories :) (oh and have recently discovered bxb & mxm .... :) )
I've been reading for a while now, and I'm starting to get a few peeves:
I realise most authors are young and mostly in school. I realise this comes with insecurity and desparate need for validation... BUT: all this begging for votes, the continual authors notes, even in the middle of the story sometimes, super annoying. If you write a plot into your story - don't start gloating about it, or pointing to it... leave the pleasure to the reader to discover your twists and turns and be surprised by the story. You are insulting their intelligence by doing this and taking away a big part of what the enjoyment of reading is all about.
Recently I notice people want x number of comments before they will post the next part: you are pathetic. Your story has to be really good for me to even want to consider continuing to read it.
Also: use Spellcheck people...
Grammar:
The difference between knowing your shit and knowing you're shit.
Their, The're and there mean different things. Weather and whether are something else completely. same goes for Accept and Except. If these are problems for you, use an editor! WHY? for people like myself whom have English as a second language (I'm dutch) reading these gramatical errors really make stories superhard to read.....

Hi there, I only ever vote once per story. Only if I really like it.... Take care, AgnesView all Conversations
