Book Review: Preference Delight by Verticalegde.

From the very first chapter, Preference Delight had me completely hooked—and it never disappointed me till the very end. The story moves at a fast pace, just the way I like it, and every chapter is of perfect length.

This book is not just about Zarmeena and Salaar’s love story; it’s about so much more. It makes you think, helps you understand relationships better, and even guides you toward making the right decisions in life. Every relationship in the story is beautifully woven—Zareena, the sweetest daughter-in-law; Warda, the protective mother; two grandmothers, both extraordinary women; Faizan, the unbiased and cool father-in-law; Taimur and Salaar’s lovely brotherly bond; Leena finding the right path after her chaos; and Nazli, such an original, real character.

And then there’s little Musa, such a cute child, and Sajid—the kind of loyal male friend everyone wishes for. Every character adds warmth, innocence, and meaning to the story.

Honestly, if I’m ever in a bad mood or just tired, this is the book I reach for. It’s comforting, heartwarming, and written so beautifully by Naney (Bushra di). Truly, a delightful read.

Book review: Love's Imperfections by Tinna.

Love’s Imperfections — that’s what Tinna names it, but the title Cuteness fits this story even better. This is the tale of Amy and Zahn — two completely opposite souls who can’t stand each other at first, yet destiny somehow keeps bringing them together. Amy’s mischievous pranks and Zahn’s calm consistency create a delightful chaos that you can’t help but adore.

To be honest, in the beginning, I couldn’t quite understand the purpose of the story. It felt a little too “goody-goody” and sweet for my taste. After so much exposure to the toxicity of modern life, it’s honestly hard for a millennial like me to handle this level of goodness and cuteness. I almost felt that way too — but trust me, if you’re a high-paced reader like me and start doubting the slow rhythm, just accept it. Because the emotions this book will make you feel are truly rare.

As the story unfolds, you’ll find yourself deeply attached to Amy and Zahn — their world starts feeling like your own. And when the book reaches its final chapters, it hits hard. I genuinely cried real tears seeing my favorite characters in pain.

If you’re a romance reader, this book is an absolute must-read. It’s pure, emotional, and heartwarming — a story that stays with you long after the last page.

Thank you so much for such a beautiful review ❤️
Reading it made me genuinely happy. I’m really glad you gave the story time to settle in, even though at first it may not have matched your usual taste. It means a lot to me that the story still reached your heart and made you feel something. ❤️

Book Review:
          Rakshasi by Archana Ramakrishna

Let’s begin with the cover — Rakshasi instantly grabs attention. Even among thousands of books on a bookstore shelf, its striking design compels you to pick it up and wonder what lies within.

Archana Ramakrishna’s storytelling plays beautifully — and sometimes brutally — with your emotions. The book will make you cry, but even more than that, it will make you laugh. There were moments that were difficult to read because of their intensity, yet every gruesome event ended with a powerful and explosive twist.

I loved the pace of Archana’s writing — it’s crisp, straightforward, and engaging. Her motto seems to be “straight talk, no nonsense.” Not a single paragraph felt skippable or repetitive. Her comic timing is impeccable, and her villains are so well-written that you genuinely feel like stepping into the book and strangling them yourself!

However, one aspect that truly disturbed me throughout was the repeated body and color shaming. As someone from Central India, I’ve never heard the term “Rakshasi” used as an insult, and it was disheartening to see it portrayed that way. It’s a kind of bullying that, honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to cope with.

On the brighter side, Archana beautifully captures the dynamics of an Indian joint family — the everyday chaos, people proudly flaunting their bad habits, and the unspoken struggles like post-delivery depression that society rarely discusses.

While this book can be read by anyone, married women will find themselves deeply relating to it. I sincerely hope Rakshasi is soon adapted into a web series — it deserves that spotlight.
