Ananova is actually a Web-oriented news service that features a computer-simulated animation of a woman newscaster, named "Ananova," who has been programmed to "read" newscasts to Web users. Miyurana wanted her Kaitou name to be Kaitou Ananova because she wanted it to be something technology-ish. Her parents died during a car crash/accident and now she lives alone. Miyurana's mother teach her how to make robots when she was younger. Her mother took the Blue Chained Key from Miyurana's father and gave it to her. Since her mother teach her to make robots, Miyurana felt lonely and decided to make her own robots. In the near future she created Maiko and Robotoniku, Robotoniku was suppose to be a girl and speaks in English but the mechanisms malfunctioned and as a result he was created as a boy and speaks in Japanese instead. That's why, Miyurana had to study Japanese too.
