I just finished reading your story Heal Me or Let Me Die Chapter 1, and I absolutely loved it! Your writing is amazing, and I kept thinking about how incredible it would look as a comic.
The emotional depth of Xiao Zhan’s struggle, his pain, his longing, and the way he’s haunted by the loss of his beloved really struck me. The scene where he wakes up in the hospital, drenched in sweat and grappling with the unbearable pain in his spine, was so vivid and heart-wrenching. I could almost feel the heaviness in his chest and the blurriness of his unshed tears.
And Wang Yibo’s exhaustion, his loyalty to Dr. Shen, and the way he tries to keep it together despite his fatigue is such a compelling dynamic. The moment he dozes off on the sofa, only to be interrupted by Miss Qui with the red file, felt so real and immersive.
I’m a commissioned artist, and I’d love the opportunity to bring your story to life in comic form. No pressure at all, I just think your work would translate beautifully into visuals, especially with its rich emotional layers and the way you weave together themes of loss, healing, and resilience.
