Why a defunct walnut? It's not cool to call yourself that.

I really don't know. I understand and concur with your statements but I can't help but think of all the negative elements that could be applied.

By lacking originality I see little reason to publish. Why read this when several other books accomplished the same principles to much greater effect.

By lacking talent the book quickly become uninteresting and the story lacks any real depth, leading very quickly to disappointment of what could have been.

As my first book, all expectations and impressions are set from then onwards. Any more books will be judged first by the performance of the original The expectations are high, the shortcomings will flare up. I'm in no way opposed to constructive criticism but it can only help so much for an abysmal writer such as myself

I very much doubt my ability to improve, any following stories would be more of the same.

Then just try at it. Don't worry about distinguishing yourself. Everybody's in the race.

Try something moderate/casual for the readers. And since it's your first book, don't set too many expectations on it.

It's a learning process. You'll get better as you go. My Azur Lane is my 3rd book. And I learned a lot in the making of my 1st and 2nd book.

@TheQuoteMan2 Admittedly I have been motivated to start a book after reading several others (including your own). However due to the lack of both real talent and enough creativity to distinguish it from the pack leads me to believe that the story would not succeed and disappoint any potential readers
