hello, i just finished dragon rider in  modern world, AND I ABSOLUTLY LOVED IT

So it's been ages since I've been here, but because of my process, and everything that has been going on, with the IB and other responsibilities, I have decided that instead of resuming Artistica here, I will continue working on it and only sharing it with some select people from my writing group and eventually alpha and beta readers . It's been much better for me being able to work at a more flexible pace, and try new things without having the pressure of posting. The people from my writing group are great, and I've come to trust with feedback. Even though I don't post often, you can find me at @valeriejacksonauthor on Instagram, and I'll be on many of the Wheel of Time related Discord servers, as well as running my own to help people who are new to the Cosmere find their way, and also being on the Legendarium Podcast server. When it's time for a beta read, I will put out a call here, since I will want different opinions, and with so many of you being friends and amazing writers in your own right, even though I've lost contact with you from the forums going down, I'd appreciate the feedback when the time comes.

Updates on what I'm working on are going to mostly be on Instagram now. The account is @valeriejacksonauthor. I have monthly updates on my word count, I talk about what I'm reading and what I've learned from those books, and I have general writing updates too. 

I know I've been absent a while, but school is over for the year, and I'm working on building up a backlog of chapters. They're getting longer, so it will take a while, but when I have enough I'll start posting them every two weeks on Fridays. After I complete Artistica, I don't think I'll post any more of my work here, at least not for a long time. The IB program is coming up, and I don't know how much time I'll have to write, and I don't want to feel pressured to update. I will keep on writing, but without having anything online, and on my own schedule. 
          
          If you're interested, Artistica is also posted (until the chapter that's here if I'm not mistaken) on inkitt. You can read without the ads, they have a night mode, and you can review what you think of books.

The end of the school year is coming up, which means I don't have as much time to write as I normally would, which means that until further notice, when I can build up a backlog again, updates will be more sporadic. I'll do my best to have them happen on Fridays, but there won't be a set schedule for now.

If you didn't know, I'm a huge Percy Jackson fan. That's why I'm sooo happy that it's finally getting the adaption it deserves at Disney+. Rick, the author is going to be personally involved, so I'm going to say that i have faith that it will be good.
