Hi everyone! It's been a hot minute. First off, I just wanted to apologize for how long it's been since I updated Dear Valentina. I've not been in a writing slump; I actually have half of the latest chapter already written out. These last few months have just been incredibly busy with lots of changes going on in my life.
          	
          	All good news though...I graduated from university in December and took my professional nursing exam about a week ago. I found out earlier today that I passed the exam and am officially a registered nurse! 
          	
          	This has been the most satisfying experience of my life. I've been in college since 2020 and while nursing school was terrible, I'm so glad I got through it and it's led me to this moment.
          	
          	More changes are to come. I start job orientation sometime next month. However, one of my goals is to start writing more frequently. We left Dear Valentina off at a good place at the end of season two, but I've still got a lot more to say concerning Valerie's future.

@starryeyedturtle Thank you! It took a lot of hard work to get here so I'm proud of myself. Plus I'm just relieved that it's all over lol I'm also excited to get back into the groove of writing. I'm sure that you would agree that it's a lot easier to write when you don't have deadlines hanging over your head

Rest in Peace Tom Lehrer! It was announced earlier today that he died at the age of 97
          
          He's been featured in Dear Valentina in flashback sequences and will continue to make appearances in the future (specifically season five, if my outline stays fairly concrete). He's one of my favorite satirical comedians from that era and if you haven't listened to his songs, I highly recommend them.
          
          He also invented the Jell-O Shot, which is pretty badass

@Monrox i heard this news last night and immediately thought of dear valentina. it was you and that story that introduced me to tom lehrer, and i remember listening to “poisoning pigeons in the park” for the first time. RIP to a genius!

Also, I'm aware of how extremely late I am with a Dear Valentina update. I'm nearly done writing the chapter, so all I'll have to do afterwards is edit. It's a long chapter, which I think is warranted considering it's been a while. Stay tuned!
