It's really important. Wattpad just crushed fun of publishing. In short, votes are now anonymous, I can't see anymore who votes under any of my stories. This is wrong at some many levels that I had to stop writing for a while to cool off. As a reader, votes were always a way to show the author that I care, that I like their work and I'm still following even if I don't feel like commenting. Now it's all gone, no one is gonna now that I care unless I comment and sometimes I just can't do it, I don't want to be visible that much. And as a writer it's even worse. There are two main problems, which litteraly felt like someone just stabbed me. Firstly, it was an amazing feeling to see notifications pop up regulary, I could see when people read or that someone new just started to read and I was extremely excited to see that freaking bell turn red. Now I only get one notification every 24 hours so I feel like my stories don't get the attention they used to which is highly demotivating. I don't know anymore when someone pushes that vote button, I only know that it happened some time ago and I don't see people voting, just freaking NUMBERS. For Wattpad, readers just became numbers, like it was all there was to it. That's the second main point, even worse. I always remembered your names, knew who was interacting, knew who was following. Now I know nothing, I know a number of people but not who they are. I can't get the same ammount of satisfation like when I saw the same names still liking my work, that they haven't left, that they were still here. Now I won't be able to know who joined the party, who left, who really follows as long as they don't leave a comment. It's just so frustrating. It was one of my favourite things, it was pushing me forward, to see the actual people behind these numbers. I got sad when they weren't there, happy when they arrived but now there's nothing. Just one notification after posting and then gone. Like all the attention for my work disappeared
