First, I'd definitely suggest The Playgirl’s Side Chick and The Playgirl’s Lover. The first book is set during their high school years and has a total red-flag male lead paired with a mean-girl type female lead who’s secretly a sweetheart. Their chemistry is chaotic but so entertaining. The second book shows how much he changes, and the female lead becomes even bolder. I absolutely loved their growth, and even the side characters have their own stories that are worth reading.
If you're okay with toxic characters but want an amazing love story, I'd also recommend Her Innocence. The male lead is the classic bad boy, while the girl is incredibly innocent and religious. Despite his reputation, he's a complete green flag when it comes to her. The way he loves and protects her, especially while constantly getting under her evil mother's skin with his crazy stunts, made me love the book even more.
And if you're into action, suspense, and romance with a Harry Styles–inspired male lead, you have to read Malignant Hideaway, Devotion, and the rest of that series. The story dives into an underground world, with kidnapping, secrets, danger, and so many twists that kept me hooked. I genuinely think you'll love it.
Another favorite of mine is Duplicity and Complicity. The chemistry between the characters is incredible, the comedy lands perfectly, and the secrets that unfold throughout the story are absolutely mind-blowing. The author did such an amazing job balancing romance, humor, and suspense that I couldn't put it down.
