Hey folks, I just wanted to have a quick heart to heart with my readers: 
          	
          	Unironically, writing for my wattpad audience got me through some incredibly hard times, but I gotta be honest about why I kinda stopped posting anything here. 
          	
          	The first reason is Wattpad itself; it's kind of a dying platform numbers-wise, and the lack of interaction with people was real reason that I lost motivation for so many books. Plus they got rid of the chats feature, so it was harder to discuss requests with people in depth and maintain those relationships. 
          	
          	The next reason is new interests-- if you follow my AO3 you'll have seen I've posted like 25 star trek fics this year-- Not that these (DC) characters don't still hold a very dear place in my heart, but admittedly there's only so much I can get out of a kids show, and I've been stretching already. I'm going to be so honest: as much as I do love Young Justice, it's not a perfectly written or directed show, and it lacks a lot of value to me once I've already explored the characters so much for 5+ years... 
          	
          	The third reason is that I started some of these when I was literally 14 or 15-- I'm going on 21. I've simply grown out of a lot of this stuff-- which I was only clinging to out of fear of change and progression in life. I still love writing kid/teen characters, but I need source material with more narrative/inter-character dynamics/political theory/etc. I still love my kiddie shows, but honestly a lot of them don't carry the same insight to an adult as they do to a kid/teen (with a few exceptions). I'm 20 and kind of just needed something new and more complex. 
          	
          	All that being said, I'm not formally closing my books. Who knows, maybe I'll want to add more, but I just wanted to let you all in on why this stuff just isn't a big priority for me anymore.

@Red_h00die Thanks, it means a lot to hear this. I'm proud of everything I've done: supplying thee Conner Kent fandom, actually utilizing Kaldur's racially-charged story lines, and somehow forcing a weed chapter into every single oneshot book... but frankly I did need to shed the burden of "when will you return"/"Why don't you update anymore".  
          	  
          	  I might write more, I've been thinking about it these days, but I had to let everyone know I'm no longer, like, *ACTIVE* active in the scene.

@Morally_Gray aw I just checked this rn I wish you so much luck and will continue to be one your fans I loved all of your works your such an inspiration and still are to me and the fandom you have so many classic stories that I will always come back to every now and then because I remember so many fond memories reading them but I totally understand and get it I wish you so much luck!!! ❤️

Shout out to people who are part of systems, whether it by DID or any other cause. 
          
          Met 2 people who are part of a system this week, and it just reminded me of how much bullshit stigma there is around bodies with multiple personalities. Like everyone compartmentalizes, this is just an extreme example. Alters can be violent because traumatized people can be violent, not because they're split personalities... 
          
          I just cannot believe how many horror movies are made TO THIS DAY demonizing those conditions, and so called disabled-allies will see no problem with painting people with non-average mental states as inherantly dangerous. 
          
          Like get normal about disabled people ffs.

Just letting everyone know there's been another AO3 scrape: 
          
          all content that was on the wesbiste prior to February  (and many other fan art/writing websites) has been scraped by HuggingFace user, so it can be reuploaded elsewhere without the author's knowledge/consent, and even used to train generative AI. 
          
          I'm disgusted and considering making my AO3 stories register-only to prevent future scrapes

As someone who joined the YJ fandom in 2018, it continues to blow my mind how whitewashing the fandom was in the early 2010s. 
          
          Go on devientart (or even here on wattpad) and you can find people fancasting Artemis as random blond white girls, and AUs where the sole reason it exists is to replace Kaldur with Garth, not because they like Garth, but because Kaldur's Racially-charged storylines made them (white kids) uncomfortable. You can also find endless examples of people drawing both of them with much lighter skin tones. 
          
          I literally can't condemn this enough cause especially I'm Kaldur's case: his racial identities are important to the plot and character arcs!! 
          
          Idk what I'm trying to get out of posting it, but I just feel like this fandom was SO SO bad to fans of colour back in the day and I really want to try and make it better.
