Just so everyone isn't confused, I did change my username.

"ElvesandOtherTales," along with my profile image and bio, were things I chose very impulsively when I first made my account, and they fit my story focus at the time when I thought Memoirs would be my only project. Since I've broadened my horizons story-wise, I decided to change my profile a bit to reflect personal preference, rather than a particular story.

Guess what? I'm not dead! :D

I'm so sorry for the lack of activity lately; I haven't been feeling confident about writing for quite some time, just from a general lack of inspiration, but I've been getting into some new fandoms recently that sparked some interest again.

On that note, I'll be posting a new story sometime tomorrow. It will be a oneshot collection that I plan on updating semi-regularly, but the first entry is a piece written for a significant date in one of my fandoms. For my regular followers (love you all), it has a more angsty tone than my usual work and is written in third-person, unlike my LOTR stories. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Feel free to post feedback, and keep an eye open tomorrow!

Hello, everyone,

I have decided, on account of some possible one-shots I have planned, that "Memoirs" and "A Thousand Years" have no relation to each other and take place in two completely unrelated storylines. I realized the continuity between them was flimsy at best and that they make more sense apart.

Hey, everyone!

Thank so much to everyone who read "A Thousand Years." It is now complete, aside from some possible editing.

I am not sure when I'll be able to start "Memoirs of a Modern Elf: Season 2," but I'm considering writing some one-shot scenes for practice as a break from my main projects. If anyone has any requests, please let me know!

Ok, guys, first of all, thanks so much for your patience with my semi-eternal writer's block. I am a person who finds it difficult to start projects, and so it became a daunting task to begin a new story once I finished Season 1 of "Memoirs."

I have good news, however...the drought is ending!

I tried to get back into "Memoirs: Season 2," but my comedic skills seem to have hit a roadblock, so I'm trying something a bit different; a "Memoirs" prequel, called "A Thousand Years."

I've gotten some questions about how Legolas and Altariel met (not to mention how in the world they ended up in modern-day Earth), and this story will provide a backstory for them and will take place in Middle-earth during the War of the Ring.

          Some notes about this:

          1. I am trying diligently not to let this descend into a Mary-Sue or Alternate Universe story and have kept my characters separate from the original plot as much as possible.

          2. Parents of any younger readers: this story may stray into PG-13 territory, but only because of the violence and darker themes that Lord of the Rings' plot contains. There will not be much in-text violence, so if this was a movie, it'd probably have its rating for, "Fantasy violence and some thematic elements," which brings me to my next point...

          3. This is not a comedy like "Memoirs;" this is a romance. I am trying very, VERY hard not to turn this story into shameless fluff and sappiness, so there will be a coherent plot, I promise.

Again, thanks for dealing with my creative issues. I plan to begin work on this story NEXT SATURDAY, when I will have a week-long break from a lot of my schoolwork. This is new territory for me, so I may only complete a chapter every two weeks or so, but I will keep you all posted.

Stay tuned for "A Thousand Years!"
