Today, I published “Consigliere”…. A chapter in Slow Burn that gives one of my favorite characters, Cicero, his time to shine. The relationship that Carmy has with him makes me think about the relationship I have in real life with my 20 year old nephew. We’re 16 years apart, and sometimes it feels like he is more of my baby brother than my nephew. And I think back to talks that he and I have had about a little of everything. His future, heartbreak, love and loss….. I put that love into this particular chapter. 
          
          My writing process for Slow Burn has been going back to watch episodes of the series and acting out scenes around my house and recording myself …. What sounds natural or what sounds corny…. Stream of consciousness style process. I want my readers to know that I don’t want to bite off of the show, I want to tap into my own talents to expand it.❤️
