@Macie_Mikan Can't believe someone has come to me for writing advice!! I would say the most important thing is to never stop writing, write as much as you can, no matter if it's rubbish. Otherwise, you won't improve. Always leave questions that the reader doesn't have an answer to, if is your decision when and whether you answer those questions. Just never let the reader know everything. Cliffhangers at the end of every chapter are good, it makes the reader want to continue on. Also, when you're writing, don't worry too much about the deeper descriptions and having a "good" writing style. The story, at the end of the day, is why people read and so that is most important. Write your first draft, heavily focussing on the story and then you can go back if you want to to add specific descriptions etc. Also, one more thing, remember to have sub-plots of any kind i.e a love story. It gives the reader more variation. Oh and make sure the reader can root for and relate to the main character. Trust me, I am no expert, but I hope this helped!! Thank you so much for the support on The Fire, it means so much <3
