This elderly man, known affectionately as "Si Mohammed" among the locals, has been a fixture at Jamaa el-Fna square in Marrakech for decades. Born in the Atlas Mountains, Si Mohammed moved to Marrakech in his youth, where he worked as a storyteller, entertaining and educating visitors with tales of history, folklore, and personal experiences. Dressed in a simple djellaba and turban, he spends his evenings surrounded by the aromas of spices and sounds of street performers, sharing wisdom with anyone who pauses to listen. His warm smile and deep, knowing eyes speak of a lifetime spent in this vibrant square, witnessing the world around him change while remaining rooted in his rich heritage.
