Hello, I am Shadow the hedgehog, the Ultimate Lifeform.

If I must put something here about the context of my character, I was found by scientists working for the government agency G.U.N. in some kind of "space egg".

When it "hatched", they found me inside and decided to experiment with the lengths of my capabilities. As I grew up there, I had created a close bond with whom I had considered my sister, Maria. A human girl with a joyful personality and quirky, for lack of a better word, tastes. She was strange, but we were close.

After an accident in which G.U.N. agents flooded the base, Maria was killed and I was cryogenically frozen, forced to relive that moment in time for 50 years.

I later found out that Gerald Robotnik, Maria's grandfather and a close ally of mine, was taken captive by G.U.N. and forced to work for them as their prisoner.

He went mad and tried to use me to destroy the world, but after I had some sense knocked into me by none other than that annoying blue idiot, Sonic, we had worked side-by-side to save the world.

Just before the Eclipse Cannon, I believe it was called, exploded, I had teleported to Earth. And since then, after sustaining many injuries, I stayed in hiding.

As of now, no one knows my whereabouts...
