He was giving her the comfort she never asked for and the attention she seemed desperate for yet never accepted.
"Chris." Alyia turned away to hide her despair, "Let me go."
"You fell." Chris looked down at the beauty in his arms, "Are you okay?"
"Yes-" Alyia sighed with frustration, "I am okay."
With no response Alyia was forced to look at the man who comforted her. Chris gaze was glued to her, as if all he saw was her. A look that ate her from the outside, in, a look that made her tremble.
"You're shaking." Chris wiped her tears with one hand and the other hand slipped to her waist, giving it a gentle squeeze. "It's going to be okay."
Alyia held her breath as his hand squeezed her waist tighter and his lips came closer, close enough to kiss!

The fight between Ahirman and Sleslorix didn't end well. It led Ahirman to tear off her wings and toss them to the side; leaving her bleeding out in the sand. A incredibly , thoughtless action that could end Ahirman career but in the moment, he didn't care, because he felt so much pain, that was soon followed by rage.
A rage that he only let consume him when he was tired of holding back, tired of being nice, tired of hiding his true colors...
A madness that scared all of the gods; the anger that made him the untouchable one. A rage that would ruin him if he released all of its fury.
