Hello! My name is Derek Rempe, and I am a music education major at Ohio Northern University. Band has been a big part of my life for quite a few years now, and I want to express how much band can change your life through my writing! The story called Where I Found Home explores the freshman year of high school through the eyes of Freddy Roland, a 14 year old trumpet player that learns to love himself with the help of friendly new faces and his flowering passion for music!
